Volunteer And Don't Keep It A Secret

It's very exciting to be part of an organization like Brown Bag Brigade in its infancy. Although there have been political issues and disagreements I believe that if something is worth while an organization will overcome those obstacles. One of two things usually happen, 1. The political issues and disagreements take over the organization and it flounders, or 2. The people who create the political issues and disagreements decide that an organization is not for them and therefore take their leave.

Meditate For Increased Vitatlity And Optimum Potential

Mental and physical relaxation seems to be the first experience of a person new to meditation. In fact it is usually the first experience for a seasoned meditator as you must obtain mental and physical relaxation before experiencing inner peace or stillness. Meditation allows your mind to slow its constant bombardment of ideas. Those tight neck muscles will melt into soft putty. Just by allowing the calm that is meditation to permeate your physical body you will reap the benefits of stress relief.

I Am You, You Are Me, We Are One

Some of my friends and family see me as some what of a rebel. I appreciate the title but I am not sure it is appropriate. The definition of rebel is ‘a person who resists any authority, control or tradition’. It is not that I resist authority or control as much as I question whether choices that have been made by authorities are in the best interest of the people and whether there is an underlying motive for this control. I tend to see the big picture and understand that everyone is on their own journey but many are following the flock like sheep and never questioning the path. Although down deep they feel insecure with the authorities’ decision they get very comfortable with their lives and situations and do nothing about these deep seeded feelings. People begin to believe that there is no reason to seek anything better. In fact it is easier to go with the flow rather than try to change the direction of the flock.

A Small Idea, A Giant Outpouring Of Human Kindness

So many of us do not believe that we can make a difference no matter how little extra money or time we may have. I am a part of an organization known as the Brown Bag Brigade, that was started on December 8, 2006 in response to the homeless population continuing to increase at an amazing rate. Many of the participants in this organization very little discretionary income but have a kind and loving heart and often that is all that is needed to start something amazing.
