Prescription Drugs Found in Drinking Water

With more and more people taking prescription drugs there is a problem for those of us who don't take these drugs. The US Geological Surveys latest findings are truly eye opening. This organization recently developed a test to detect antidepressant in river water and brains of fish. These tests took place downstream from several sewage treatment plants in the state of Colorado. These tests confirmed that the drugs fluoxetine (Prozac) and sertaline (Zoloft) were quite common in the water and the brains of fish.

Peaceful Existence For Everyone

I am sure that there are many readers who have family or friends across seas fighting not only in Iraq but other hot spots in the world that the news organizations do not carry because these areas are not as news worthy in their minds. For those individuals who are helping keep our country safe I would like to give you a heart felt 'Thank you'. Although some people do not agree that the United States should be at war with Iraq and the reason we are over there is very convoluted I still respect those men and woman who have put their lives on hold to allow me to live my life here in the US. Can Junk Food Be Healthy?

It is amazing that this question was even given air time on the 'Today' show on March 8, 2007. The report demonstrated how different junk food corporations are seeing that people are demanding more nutrition and want to stay healthy. These corporations have introduced whole wheat, omega 3, vitamin C, and whole grains into their products. Krispy Kreme has now given their customers a choice to purchase regular white flour donuts or whole wheat donuts. Either way it is still a donut that has been deep fried in a vat of animal fat. This would be considered a junk food even with the whole wheat added. The same holds true with the ice cream that has introduced Omega 3's, the kids sugary snack that has been fortified with Vit. C, and the whole grain addition to candy bars.
