Mouth Cleanse After Dentist Visit

If you are unlucky enough to need dental work done your mouth will be bombarded by various chemical compounds and drugs.  The mucosal lining of the mouth is very sensitive.  Although there may be no pain during a visit to the dentist one may experience the affects of the dental materials, chemicals and drugs used during a procedure.

Many people have very sensitive mouths.  The inside of a persons mouth is a very sensitive area in which nerves recognize everything from temperature, consistency, taste, and sensual sensitivity (ie. passionate kissing).  Most people have a reaction to a trip to their dentist.  They may have mouth sores, raw upper or lower mouth, burning sensations, twitching of the tongue, lips or cheeks, headaches, horrible matalic taste and halitosis (bad breath).  What causes the above affects?

Remember the body does not take kindly to having foriegn objects or chemicals layed on, injected into, or rubbed into.  When the body senses such attacks it will react in any way it sees fit to remove the unwanted envador.  The above list of reactions are the bodies mechanisms to rid it from the alien substances.

I have recommeded this particular remedy to many of my patients with excellent success.  If you start the recommended mouth cleanse below shortly after seeing the dentist you will see a great reduction in symptoms and a decrease in time that you must experience the symptoms.

Water - either distilled (not the type you would get in a grocery store as it is full of polymers from the plastic jug it is packaged in.  If you have a home distiller make sure you have plenty of distilled water for this cleanse.) or a very filtered water such as RO water or the like.

Sea Salt - only use sea salt as regular table salt has chemicals in it that are bad for the body.

Honey - preferably unprocessed honey as this will give all of the nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants required to help the body remove the offending toxins collected during the dental procedure.

The Procedure:  Take an 8 oz. glass of distilled water and stir in a tablespoon full of sea salt until it is completely disolved.  Once it is dissolved take a mouth full and swish it around for 30 seconds and spit it out.  Do not swallow it.  Continue taking a mouth full and swishing until the glass is empty.

Next, pour another glass of distilled water and dissolve a tablespoon of honey into the water.  Once again take a mouth full of the water and swish it around in your mouth for 30 seconds and spit it out.  Continue this until the glass is empty.

Wait a half hour and repeat the above cycle.  Wait another half hour and repeat the above cycle for the last time.  You will have done the cycle for a total of 3 times.  If you still have a bad taste in your mouth or pain the next day repeat the procedure.  Continue to repeat this procedure on a daily basis until there is no pain or numbness and your taste returns to normal.

If you are able to withstand swishing a tablespoon of straight honey in your mouth the healing properties of doing this after the above cleanse cycle will give amazing results.  Once again after swishing spit this out do not swallow it.
